Group Therapy- includes a wide variety of programs to assist individuals through the process of recovery. Group therapy is a highly effective form of treatment and allows us to serve many more people with limited resources. A professional assessment assures placement in the most appropriate group.
Individual Therapy- may be the best approach for some people. This person-centered approach assists the individual recovery when group therapy would not be beneficial, or when their work schedule conflicts with the appropriate group.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)- many clients are not able to abstain with one or two hours of weekly outpatient treatment alone. IOP’s are designed for more severely addicted individuals and meets for 3 hours per day, three days per week, for a six-week period. OAR’s therapists assess and move clients to the IOP level based on their risk of relapse. Program goals are to assist clients in developing an alcohol/drug free lifestyle, increase self-confidence and develop a supportive environment.
Eligible clients have intensified addiction symptoms and a high likelihood of relapse without close monitoring and support. IOP provides an environment where healthy boundaries can be modeled, shared and experienced. Clients have an acceptable place to express feelings about their addiction, and an opportunity to learn social skills necessary for healthy relationships. Clients deal with family issues, address mental health issues, and participate in relapse prevention planning.
OAR also offers Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) for the workplace. EAP is an assistance program for employees that benefit both the employee and the employer. Everyone has problems from time to time. Some can be solved alone-others require help. The EAP is a confidential assessment and referral service for employees and their families who need help with personal problems such as alcohol, drugs, stress, marriage, jobs or family.
OAR is State funded, and accepts Medicaid, insurance, private pay, and also a sliding-fee scale.
